C&G Surf School, LLC began in 2010. Prior to that Tyson Smith (owner/instructor) taught surf lessons for a local shop. Tyson has been surfing his whole life. He grew up in Utah and still managed to surf! As soon as he got his license he would take weekend trips to California to surf. He fell in love with the ocean and relocated to Myrtle Beach in 2006. Since that time he has surfed religiously. He has surfed from California to Nicaragua to up and down the East Coast. When he is not at the beach, he is a Spanish teacher at a local high school.
The office staff consists of Jennie (Tyson's wife). She also surfs and is willing to help answer any questions you have. Tyson and Jennie have two sons, Cedric (5) and Gabriel (2). Cedric is surfing and Gabe is hard to keep out of the water!
